Abstract

1,203,242. Container Closures. ALBRIGHT & WILSON (MFG.) Ltd. 1 Feb., 1968 [11 Jan., 1967], No. 1480/67. Heading B8T. A closure e.g. for a signalling device comprises a rigid seating member 1, Fig. 1, mountable on the device, an obturator 5, e.g. of glass, an optional washer 3, and an elastically deformable retaining member 4, means 8 being provided for pulling the obturator away from the seating member 1. The retaining member 4, e.g. of rubber, may be stretched over the member 1, or clamped thereto by a lock nut (13), Fig. 3 (not shown). Alternatively, Fig. 2, the seating member 1 may be pulled away by means of ribs 11 to open the closure.
