Abstract

120,299. Beesley, H. C. Dec. 21, 1917. Candle holders and accessories; c a n d l e grease guards. - Melted wax running down the candle is collected in the socket or holder, and is burnt at wicks which are lighted by the candle when it burns down, the waste of grease and short candle ends being thereby obviated. As shown, the holder comprises a cup a provided with tubes b containing asbestos-wool wicks d, candle-supporting blades c, and a stem e, which may have springs f, for insertion in a candle-stick socket. - Alternatively, the candle-stick socket is formed as the wax-receiving cup.
