Abstract
1,202,147. Measuring fluid-flow. HEECO Ltd. March 11, 1969 [March 6, 1968], No.10916/68. Heading G1R. In a meter run in which two pipes 1, 3 are arranged end-to-end, flanges 9, 11 are welded on the outside of adjacent ends of the pipes 1, 3 and the facing faces are then accurately machined perpendicular to the bores of their respective pipes 1, 3 and an orifice (41) plate 39 is located between the pipe flanges 9, 11 and gaskets 47, 49 by flange locating dowels 29 so that the orifice 41 and pipe bores 13, 15 are all co-axial.
