Abstract

1,201,870. Valves. PARKER-HANNIFIN CORP. 5 Sept., 1968, No. 42219/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] A valve comprising a flexible disc 35 movable between two seats 19 and 23 to connect a motor port 17 alternately with a supply port 16 or exhaust port 21, is provided with circumferentially spaced abutments 36 between the seat 23 and the motor port, to support the overhanging portion of the disc in the position shown. The abutments are spaced from a side wall 20 of a housing 11, 12 to permit free flow round and between them from the motor port to the exhaust port. A supporting grid 18 or 25 in each of the ports 16, 21 has concentric apertures 25, 26 divided by offset ribs. A muffler over the exhaust port includes a foraminous sleeve 42 retained by a cap 43 which has shrouded openings 44 arranged to direct the air against surface 45 of the housing to diffuse it.
