1,201,300. Valves. DRESSER INDUSTRIES Inc. 1 Aug., 1967, No. 41094/69. Divided out of 1,175,977. Heading F2V. A butterfly valve comprises a vane rotatable within an annular valve seat, the vane including a peripheral gasket 10 having a rib 18, clamped by a plurality of independently adjustable members, e.g. screws 14, which extend through apertures in the gasket and can be operated to cause the gasket to bulge radially of the vane, the rib 18 encircling each aperture and merging to a single rib at positions intermediate the apertures.
