Abstract

1,200,687. Resin bonded grinding wheels. INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTORS (1946) Ltd. 23 Sept., 1968 [26 Sept., 1967], No. 45064/68. Heading C4V. An abrasive grinding device comprises metalclad MD and/or SD particles of diamond embedded in a bonding matrix of resinous material. The metal cladding may comprise 10 to 70% by weight of the metal-clad particles. The metal may be nickel and the particles may be of 100/120 mesh grit. The wheel may be of the hub type, the hub being moulded from a phenolic resin, the resin-bonded metal-clad particles forming a peripheral skin about the hub.
