Abstract

[Also in Division E1] In a mineral-mining installation in which a haulage chain, for causing movement of a winning machine to and fro along a mineral face, is situated at either the face or goaf side of a conveyer beneath a cover-plate secured to said side of the conveyer, a guide element of the winning machine engages directly or indirectly behind a raised rib provided on the side wall of the conveyer. The guide element of the embodiment of Fig. 1 is a sword 13 that, according to the operating conditions encountered by the winning machine at the face, either engages directly behind the raised rib 12 or indirectly behind the raised rib 15 by way of anchor bolts 14 and cover-plate 10 if sliding along on the cover-plate. In the embodiment of Fig. 2, the guide element is a plate 26 that directly engages behind the raised rib 15 and indirectly engages behind the raised rib 12.
