120,034. Norsk Hydro - Elektrisk Kvaelstofaktieselskab. Oct. 4, 1917, [Convention date]. Ammonia.-In the production of ammonia by saponifying cyanamide with an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate, the water used is preheated to at least 40‹ C. before it is brought into contact with the cyanamide. Considerably less sodium carbonate is then necessary to effect the saponification.
