[Also in Division B2] An apparatus for drying or heating two (or one, Fig. 3, not shown) fabric lengths 5 comprises a jet having two (or one) slots 3, 3a and a partition which divides it inwardly into two parallel channels 7, 8 of similar cross-section, which channels communicate with one another by two (or one) gaps 9 between the slots and the partition, the channels 7, 8 being fed with hot compressed gas (e.g. air) from their opposite ends by chambers 12, 11 respectively such that the gas flow through channel 7 is identical to that in channel 8 but in the opposite direction.
