[Also in Division C1] Harvested tobacco leaves are dipped in an aqueous dispersion of up to 3 per cent of a film-forming agent, dried and cured (to produce a low nicotine content). The agent may be a wax; C 16-22 alcohol or ethylene glycol ether; or polyvinyl alcohol or acetate. The dispersion may also contain polyoxyethylene dodecyl ether, alkylphenol polyethylene glycol ether or sodium lignosulphonate.
