Abstract
1,198,228. Revaporizing liquefied gases. LINDE A.G. 15 July, 1968 [19 July, 1967], No. 33641/68. Heading F4P. [Also in Division F1] A low boiling point liquid, e.g. liquid nitrogen or oxygen to be vaporized is delivered under pressure through the open end 7 of a tube 5 where it is atomized by compressed air or superheated steam delivered through an injector nozzle 2 surrounded by a mixing tube 1, and the so-atomized liquid is vaporized by heat exchange with ambient air induced by the air or steam jet through an annular space between the nozzle 2 and the adjacent flare end 13 of tube 1. The liquefied gas may be fed through a ring of tubes 5 and a gap 14 between the nozzle mouth 8 and the end 7 of each tube prevents ice formation.
