Abstract

In a runner assembly for a mixed-flow rotary hydraulic machine, the pitch of the runner blades 1 is adjustable by a rotary servomotor 11 via shaft 9, member 7 and levers 4. Each lever is connected to the member 7 through a respective pin and slide block assembly comprising a pin 5 engaging a slide block 6 via a ball-and-socket joint 12, 13. The slide block is slidably mounted in a radial groove 8 in the member 7. Alternatively, it may be slidably mounted in a radial groove in the associated lever 4, the pin then being carried by the member 7. The slide block is divided into two halves along a plane perpendicular to, or including, its axis to facilitate assembly over the ball 13.
