Abstract
1,197,015. Clocks and watches. FABRIQUES MOVADO. June 11, 1968 [June 27, 1967; May 3, 1968], No.27702/68. Heading G3T. An electro-magnetically energized rotary mechanical oscillator for driving a timepiece comprises an oscillating body 2 mounted on an outward extension 14 of a support 3 by means of curved springs 4<SP>1</SP>, 5<SP>1</SP>, 6<SP>1</SP>, 7<SP>1</SP> each having a width large compared with its thickness. A further oscillating body 1 Fig. 1 (not shown) is similarly mounted on the extension 14 and the two oscillate in phase opposition. Each body carries magnets 17 forming part of a known electromagnetic device for maintaining oscillations, and a pawl 10 on the spring 7<SP>1</SP> drives a ratchet wheel (not shown). In a further embodiment two oscillating bodies are supported by springs, each formed with a double bend, and mounted on a resilient member which may have a bimetallic structure to compensate few changes of the oscillation frequency with temperature.
