A washing table for washing patients in hospitals comprises a suporting member 1 carried by frame 16, 17 and provided with a raised rim 3 extending around its periphery, said member 1 having at one end a raised portion 2 to support the head of the patient and a channel 1a to collect water. The member 1 is further fitted with drainage openings 4 and 5 which openings are fitted with filter plates and communicate with drains underneath. The table may be supported on legs as shown or by a frame mounted on a portion which is telescopically movable relative to a base (Fig. 2, not shown).
