Abstract

1332572 Litter SODERBERG TOLLAM AB 15 Sept 1971 43053/71 Headings A4J and A4N [Also in Division B7] A litter for supporting bed ridden patients during washing etc., comprises a rectangular platform 10 of a liquid impermeable material such as reinforced synthetic resin, provided with a trench 16 extending about half way along the litter from one end, and outwardly flared and increasing in depth towards said end. A drain channel (15), Fig. 2 (not shown), is surrounded by an upstanding rim 14 at the peripheral edge of the platform and side supports 23 may be attached to the rim by means of holes 24 and peg connections 25. An inclined head rest is attached to the rim at the other end by means of downwardly depending edge portions, which slidably receive the rim 14 so that the head rest is longitudinally adjustable. The platform is supported by a pillar 11 on an X-shaped base having castors on the ends of the arms. An outlet 18 and stop valve 19 allow the trench 16 and channel 15 to be drained.
