[Also in Division B5] A food container 10 which is impermeable to ultra-violet radiation is made by heat sealing the peripheries 14 only of two laminates 12, 12A, each comprising aluminium foil (20) sandwiched between polyester layers (22, 24) with a layer of polypropylene (18) in contact with the food 16. The food can be sterilized at 121-125‹ C. or cooked in the container 10.
