Abstract
1,196,189. Feeding tobacco. AMERICAN MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. 20 March, 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 13522/68. Heading A2C. An automatic distributer for feeding shredded tobacco to a plurality of cigarettemaking machines, comprises a substantially horizontal table 1 which is reciprocated in the direction of the arrows F1, F2 while tobacco is continuously fed on to it in a central position between two hopper-like boards 14 (only one shown) corresponding with the inlets 103 of suction tubes 3 that pneumatically feed the tobacco to the making machines. Two sets of tubes 3 are provided, each set terminating in one of two side walls 4 (only one shown).
