[Also in Division F4] Two different fuels are fed to furnace 4 from shoots 1 and 2, the fuel from shoot 2 being conveyed and comminuted by screw 6 so that the two fuels form separate layers in common shoot 3 for delivery to the furnace by reciprocating plate 5. The delivery is controlled by slide 7 and agitated by a second reciprocating plate (not shown) positioned within shoot 3.
