Abstract

1,194,774. Counters. H. MUELLER and S. MUELLER, [trading as J. HENGSTLER K.G.], 21 March, 1968 [23 March, 1967], No. 13610/68. Heading G4D. The add key 5o or subtract key 5u of a reversible counter makes less than the normal movement, a spring-pressed detent 2 camming the numeral wheel on to complete the step. The numeral wheel has a pin 7 for each digit. When a key is pressed a lug 6 engages a pin, such as 7b, and rotates the wheel rather more than half a step until a pin, such as 7a, passes the apex of detent spring 2 which then assists the movement to complete the step after the key has restored under the action of spring 12. The numerals are read through a magnifying window 19a. The wheel carries a brush connecting to read-out contacts (Figs. 2, 3).
