Abstract

1,194,247. Vibration dampers. BRAUN A.G. 15 June, 1967 [15 June, 1966], No. 27749/67. Heading F2S. [Also in Division B1] A centrifuge with an imbalance compensating device comprises a drive motor 2 with a substantially vertically drive shaft member 3 and a centrifuging perforated sieve basket 20 coaxial with and rigidly connected to the drive shaft member 3 for rotation therewith, and the said imbalance compensating device comprises an annular balancing member 22 uniformly distributed about the axis of the shaft member 3, and coil springs 23 connecting member 22 to the shaft 3 for rotation therewith, the springs being centred and preloaded by adjustable screw 25 so as to produce during imbalance during operation of the centrifuge movement of the member 22 compensating said imbalance. The centrifuge also comprises a disc 18 with projections 17 that engage apertures in basket 20 and cavities 16 in plate-shaped member 12, and a friction disc 21.
