Abstract
1,193,815. Cooling reactors. SNAM PROGETTI S.p.A. 7 March, 1969 [8 March, 1968], No. 12288/69. Heading G6C. A sodium cooled reactor is mounted in an inner housing 2, spaced from the outer housing. 1 by the sealing rings 3. Liquid sodium is received at its inlet 6 and flows through the core to the outlet 7. The rings 6 are formed of metal and are urged against the projection 8 so as to allow for different rates of thermal expansion between the housings 1, 2.
