Abstract

1,193,763. Dismountable display signs. ROMAC PRODUCTS Ltd. 22 July, 1968, No. 34818/68. Heading G5C. A sign has two panels 2a, 2b, at least one being transparent (e.g. so that display matter A may be inserted between them); projecting tabs 3a, 3b held within an elongated aperture 11 in a base member 1 while the edges 12a, 12b rest in a channel 10; and a wedging member 5 which engages the upper surface (e.g. 7a, 7b) of at least one of the tabs 3a, 3b. As described, the wedging member 5 comprises an E-shaped element (Fig. 5, not shown), seen endwise-on in Fig. 8. Preferably two such members are inserted, one from each end. Fig. 8 illustrates an embodiment wherein both tabs 3a, 3b have facing grooves (7a, 7b) and projections; but these grooves may be dispensed with (Fig. 6, not shown) or only one need be present, engaging a corresponding projection (Fig. 7, not shown). Fig. 9 (not shown) shows a further groove (9b) engaging a rib 9a).
