Abstract

Holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier

Field of application of the invention

The invention relates to a holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier for informing the viewer. Items, offers and advertisements of all kinds may be indicated on the information carrier, e.g. Article, manufacturer, large, quantity and price information on products offered or the scope and conditions of services offered. The information carrier can be printed with characters and / or graphic symbols and / or described by hand. A typical use of the fixture would be e.g. at a goods store in a department store.

State of the art

From the company publication "vitrashop journal" of Vitrashop AG, Birsfelden / CH (publication year 1993), p. 65, a holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier is known. This holding device is made of U-profile to a U-shaped, upwardly open frame. The horizontal base leg and the two upwardly extending side legs of the frame form, with the grooves of the U-profile turned into the interior of the frame, into which the poster-shaped information carrier - eg a printed cardboard or a plastic board - inserts from above leaves. At the base legs two spaced-apart brackets are mounted so that the holding device can be placed on the top edge of a panel or a strut of a shelf and fasten. This device requires a frame that includes the poster-shaped information carrier from below and on both sides at least 50% in order to keep the information carrier reliable and without lability occurring. As a modification of the U-shaped frame has been designed open to one side, so that the information carrier is then inserted laterally. Such a relatively massive frame is aesthetically not suitable for all applications. For example, for the presentation of discreet goods, such as jewelry or sleepwear, an adequate slender holding device would be desirable. An imperfection in the known holding device is also that for another format of the poster-shaped information carrier, even at mere change from landscape to portrait, a correspondingly sized holding device is necessary.

Another holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier is in the company publication "vitrashop - what's new" of Vitrashop AG, Birsfelden / CH (published in 1996), p 13, discloses. This holding device also consists of a U-profile, but two legs, spanning a surface, assembled into a rectangular frame. In continuation of the vertical leg extends an extension rod to which the angle is arranged. From the information carrier, usually in turn a printed cardboard, a corner is inserted into the angle. In the groove of the U-profile forming the angle is a mutual grid of elevations, so that the edge of the information carrier inserted in the groove is clamped in the grid. The frame of this holding device comprises the information carrier less than a three-legged, U-shaped frame, yet the angle-shaped frame still appears clearly. However, the lateral approach of the frame now creates an asymmetry. Moreover, although the angular frame allows the insertion of information carriers in a certain range of varying formats, but due to the asymmetric clamping in only one corner of the information carrier, the fixation of the information carrier is not particularly secure.

Finally, DE 299 21 990 U1 discloses a holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier which has a base and a flat poster support which can be plugged into the base. The information carrier preferably has the shape of a three-sided closed, only at its lower edge open envelope and can be postponed from above the poster support. To accommodate the sandwich arrangement, consisting of poster support, information carrier and a possibly overlaid transparent poster pocket, the rod-shaped base has a continuous transversal groove at the top. In the cross-sectional depth of the base extends a tongue groove for receiving a tongue on the poster support. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is to propose an improved holding device for poster-shaped information carriers. It is important to simplify the assembly of the holding device with an information carrier or its change. The holding device to be created should be able to be positioned, moved and removed at a very small number of points with a few simple movements, that is to say suitable for setting up, inserting, hanging or otherwise fastening. Finally, one must be able to produce the holding device in various dimensions and formats cost-effectively in larger quantities.

Overview of the invention

The holding device for a poster-shaped information carrier initially has two panel segments for receiving the information carrier therebetween, at least one of the panel segments being transparent for its visibility. To insert the two panel segments is a base. To keep a gap between the two board segments free for receiving the information carrier, a means is provided.

Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the invention are defined: The means for maintaining the gap between the two panel segments is a base disposed in the base, which projects between the panel segments, and / or a spacer element which lies between the panel segments. The base is designed in principle as a U-profile with two side legs, which act as a leaf spring and enclose a one-sided open space between them. Both panel segments are identical, namely have the same blank and consist of the same transparent material, preferably plastic or glass. 9. holding device (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that a) a plate-shaped spacer element (4) is provided which in the assembled state between the two panel segments (2) and between the both sides protruding pin (67) the mounted corner parts (6) on the web (37) of the base (3) is seated and preferably made of colorless transparent plastic; b) the board segments (2) inserted in the base (3) rest on the transverse web (38) of the base (3); and c) the edge of the spacer element (4) pointing away from the base (3) forms a stop for the inserted information carrier (7).

Holding device (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that a) the holding device (1) with the base (3) below or above or laterally of the panel segments (2) can be positioned; b) the support structure (9) is a plate or tubular stand, a panel, a frame, a rear wall or a ceiling and between the base (3) for connection to the support structure (9) an adapter (8) may be inserted; c) the adapter (8) has a connecting part (81) which is intended for attachment to the two-part shoulder (36) and fixation on the screw channel (39) of the base (3); and d) the adapter (8) has a connection contour (86) for detachable docking to the support structure (9).
