Abstract

A Media Display Unit has a multi-piece body. It has internally contained clamping devices, both for external support and maintaining shape integrity. A sealing strip is placed between the separate parts of the unit. Transparent panels allow the visual display of information. <IMAGE>

Description

MEDIA DISPLAY UNIT TECHNICAL FIELD.
This invention relates to a Media Display Unit (M.D.U.).
MEDIA DISPLAY UNITS consist of a MULTI - PIECE BODY, which can be manufactured from a wide range of material, both natural and synthetic, eg, wood, metal, plastics, and wide range of shapes.
This body is self clamped to a suitable support column, the one envisaged in the enclosed drawings is the support column of a standard parking meter.
The unit described comes in two pieces, it is attached by placing one piece of the body on either side of the support pole and then, is both clamped together and secured to the pole by the tightening of four internally contained screw driven clasps.
A weatherproof ed rubberised seal is fitted, internally, to the two halves of the unit, this seal acts as both an interface gasket between the two halves and also prevent the ing - ession of rainwater and the formation of condensation inside the unit.
The two faces of the unit are transparent and able to contain display material, normally a paper poster, of a variety of sizes. The unit shown contains material of At fornat.

Claims (3)

1. A media display unit comprising a multi-piece body; means for securing the unit to a variety of supports, and providing shape integrity to the unit.
2. A media display unit as claimed in Claim 1, wherein transparent panels in the external face of the unit allow the visual display of information, generated by mechanical and/or electronic means.
3. A media display unit, substantially described herein with reference to figure *1 of the enclosed drawing.
