Abstract

Description

1. Field of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of street furniture.

More particularly, the invention relates to a mast covering device, particularly but not exclusively for street lamp pole.

2. Solutions of the prior art

For many years, the poles of lampposts placed especially along the roads can also be used in the context of display of advertising or informative messages (events in a commune for example, ...). Such messages are conventionally placed on display devices (pennants, semi floating or floating flags, streamers, ...) which are then temporarily attached to the top of the mast of these lamps.

However, a disadvantage of such solutions is that they have a relatively large wind load which results in the application of strong constraints on the mast that supports them which is not satisfactory.

In addition, another disadvantage of solutions such as floating panels is that their visibility is relatively low for people passing nearby (motorists, pedestrians) because of the relative mobility of these panels. This is not satisfactory from an advertising point of view, for example.

In addition, a disadvantage of such devices is that the security is not satisfactory because these devices are dependent on environmental conditions. For example, panels can come off depending on the particular conditions of evolution (wind force, ...). This can have consequences when an advertising flag is on the road.

In addition, such devices are often relatively complex to install because the installation of messages requires an upgrade to ensure good visibility for the recipients of the messages displayed. The poles of lampposts never measuring less than 3.5 meters, their installation therefore generates extra costs and additional risks.

The aesthetic offered by the current solutions is also unsatisfactory.

Finally, still due to the nature of the media, the messages are not sustainable over a prolonged period (month, season, year) and even less useful from one year to another because they bear little weather hazards. In particular, the wind tends to tear paper or fabric pennants.

3. Objectives of the invention

The object of the invention is in particular to solve at least partly the disadvantages of the prior art.

More particularly, an objective of at least one embodiment is to provide a device which makes it possible to reduce the forces exerted on such installations and in particular the wind resistance.

Another objective of at least one embodiment of the invention is to provide a device which makes it possible to improve the visibility, for example of messages advertised on this device and intended for motorists or pedestrians who would pass close to the support (floor lamp for example).

Yet another object of at least one embodiment of the invention is to provide such a device which is relatively aesthetic and which is based in the environment in which it is placed, respecting the natural shape of the mast.

Another object of an embodiment of the invention is to provide such a device which is completely removable and in a relatively reasonable time, while making its total integrity to the support on which the invention is mounted.

Another object of an embodiment of the invention is to allow the communication of the message day and night.

Another objective of an embodiment of the invention is to allow the quick and tool-free change of the message.

Yet another objective is to provide such a device that is simple to use and inexpensive to implement.

4. Summary of the invention

Thus, the invention proposes a new and inventive approach that makes it possible to solve at least in part the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, the invention makes it possible to implement a cladding device whose grip in the wind is restricted and which will thus limit in a relatively large manner the stresses exerted on a lamp post mast when this device will be secured to the mast. In addition, such a covering device has an aesthetic appearance that "melts" relatively easily in its environment because it is close to the shape of its potential support and surrounds it by sticking more or less his profile.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, the shell comprises two complementary portions, said portions being embedded in the upper and lower attachment means, said portions defining the shape of the shell, the shell then being wound around the mast. .

Thus, it simplifies the assembly and disassembly of such a cladding device. In addition, one can also easily perform several types of display, or display messages on one side of the dressing device.

In a variant, the shell has a frustoconical shape.

As a result, this makes it possible to use such a covering device on most existing lamp post masts.

Such a characteristic makes it possible, for example, to place informative or advertising messages inside the shell, in order to protect them from external conditions, while leaving them visible to the recipients of these messages.

In a variant of the invention, the various portions of the shell have a thickness of between 1 mm and 6 mm.

Therefore, it allows to place a dressing device resistant to most conditions in which it could evolve while implementing such a device that is limited in terms of price but also in terms of mass to support the mast .

In a particular embodiment, the device further comprises lighting means that can illuminate at least partially the shell.

Thus, it improves the visibility of the dressing device according to particular periods of the day and weather conditions.

According to a variant, the lighting means comprise at least one ramp, having a plurality of light sources, and which can be arranged between the body of the support and the shell.

In another embodiment, the message is installed in the thickness of the shell (sandwich construction for example).

As a result, the shell also serves as protection for the lighting means which are electric, which makes it possible to improve the safety of such a street lamp.

According to an alternative embodiment, the message to be communicated is printed or glued (vynil, fabrics) on the inner or outer side of the shell.

In one embodiment of the invention, the lighting means are placed at the location of at least one of the upper and lower attachment means.

In one embodiment, the invention includes high and low caches to limit the light pollution emitted downwards and towards the sky.

The invention also relates to a mast comprising a body and an end adapted to be in contact with the ground. According to the invention, the mast comprises a cladding device according to one of the aforementioned embodiments, the mast being at least partially covered by said cladding device.

In a variant of the invention, the mast comprises a power supply source that can power the lighting means.

In a preferred embodiment, the power source is connected to the public lighting network.

According to one embodiment, the dressing device is provided at a distance at least equal to 2m with the end.

6. Detailed description of an embodiment

We now present, in relation to Figures 1 to 5 , a first embodiment of the invention.

The mast body 10 has in this example a substantially frustoconical profile. However, one could obviously imagine other embodiments in which it would have a different shape, such as a cylindrical, rectangular or triangular shape.

The body 10 of the mast comprises a cladding device 2 which thus covers it in part. In this example, the covering device 2 covers about a third of the mast body on the entire circumference of the mast. For reasons of visibility, for example for drivers or pedestrians passing nearby, this device is here at a height of about 2 meters from the ground, 2 meters from the end 12 of the mast. One could however imagine that this device is placed at a higher height, such as 2.5 meters.

It should be noted that the dressing device is, in this example, completely removable to allow the mast to return to its original shape. It is obvious that the dressing device can be installed on a pre-existing mast.

As illustrated in the various figures, and especially in exploded view on the figure 2 , the removable dressing device 2 comprises:

• a hull 20;
• upper fixing means 21;

The shell 20 covers in this example the entire circumference of the body of the tapered-shaped mast and comprises two complementary portions 200,201 which give the shell 20 this form of frustoconical revolution. The fact of implementing such a shape thus makes it possible to limit the wind resistance of the covering device 2.

In one embodiment of the invention, the two shells are interconnected by a seal to facilitate the juxtaposition and positioning of the shell portions.

However, other embodiments could be provided in which the shell would have a different form of revolution such as a cylindrical or octagonal shape. Furthermore, it is also possible to provide variants in which the shell would be formed of more than two portions or a single portion not completely winding the mast 10. It should be noted that this dressing device can be fixed on any right part of more than two meters in this example, but also on any conical part or more generally of regular section whatever the section.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one of the two portions 200, 201 of the shell is made of a translucent material which allows to place an element between the shell 20 and the mast 10 of lamppost 1 while leaving this element visible from the outside. The portions of the shell 20 preferably have a thickness of between 1 mm and 6 mm so that they can withstand the environmental conditions while limiting their mass as well as their manufacturing cost. In this example, each of the shell portions has a thickness substantially equal to 4 mm. However, it could for example provide hulls having a thickness of 10mm.

As illustrated in more detail on Figures 4 and 5 both portions are held by the upper and lower attachment means. The upper fixing means 21 comprise a first part 211 intended to form a stop against the body 10 of the mast and a second part 210 connected to the first part and serving to hold the shell portions. Analogously, the lower fixing means 22 comprise a first part 221 intended to form a stop against the body 10 of the mast and a second part 220 connected to the first part and serving to maintain the shell portions. The shell portions 200, 201 are embedded in the second parts of the upper fastening means 21 and lower 22 at vertically arranged grooves (that is to say substantially in the longitudinal direction of the lamp post mast). To insert each of the portions, the user must first place the recessed portion in the groove of the second upper portion 210 and put it in the longitudinal direction (or vertical), this groove being deeper than necessary to allow a easy vertical placement of the portion. Once the portion is placed, it can go down and fit directly in a groove in the second lower portion. Each of the portions 200, 201 is thus embedded in the grooves and can not escape from these grooves without a user proceeds in the opposite direction for disassembly which is therefore just as easy as mounting. It should be noted that in the example illustrated in figure 2 , each of the first and second parts of the upper and lower fastening means is made in two separate pieces which are connected around the body of the mast 10 to facilitate their installation around this mast. However one could also provide other means of attachment, or rings, made in a different number of pieces.

As illustrated on the figure 2 , the dressing device further comprises lighting means 3 for illuminating at least partially the shell 20. In this example, these lighting means 3 are in the form of ramps having a plurality of light sources such as electroluminescent diodes (otherwise known as LEDs or LEDs) and are provided between the mast body 10 and the shell 20. The fact of placing lighting means 3 between the shell 20 and the mast while combining them with a hull less partially translucent can provide a coating device 2 which will be visible especially at night or with poor weather conditions. This can be useful, for example, in the context of commemorations or events in localities, or to "dress up" a mast and produce a particular effect.

Embodiments could be provided in which the lighting sources are controlled in different ways. For example, we could imagine lighting means adjustable in intensity or tension, or changing color. Other sources of illumination may also be provided.

Furthermore, it could be provided that the lighting means are not implemented between the shell and the mast, but for example are integrated rings.

To supply electricity to such lighting means 3, the mast may include a power source. Such sources of electrical power are known, for example, in the application for FR2842035 which describes an electrical outlet that can be attached to the pole of the lamp post. In one embodiment of the invention, this power supply source can be connected to the public lighting network.

Of course, this example is described for illustrative and not limiting. For example, there could be a variant in which the covering device has a shell that is partially composed of a translucent material, and partially composed of energy storage means such as flexible photovoltaic panels (for example panels rotating). The dressing device would then not only be a means of "dressing" the lamapdaire or display messages for communication purposes but also serve as a means of energy capture that could for example be used to supply the means lighting or recharging means provided in the mast of the lamppost.

It is recalled that the pole mast covering device can be used to communicate, to decorate, or even for other purposes such as reloading as explained above. When used to As a communicative title, the mast may for example display a message or an animated advertisement or not on at least a portion that may be backlit or not, or even an event to come in the locality in which it is placed. When it is used as a means of "decoration" of the lamp post mast, it may for example be covered with a paint or texture giving it an appearance that will make the whole aesthetic (wood look for example). It should also be noted that this cladding device can be completely dismantled so that the mast of the lamppost can return to its initial state (apart from the presence of power supply sources that can be implemented directly on the mast).

The shell of the cladding device can be decorated in several ways. For example, it can be provided that the shell has an impression made inside or outside the portions. It can also be provided that a permanent vinyl gluing or not is placed on the shell. It can further be provided that the vinyl is replaced by a fabric or any other material that could be decorative.

Claims (14)

A cladding device (2) attachable to a mast body (10), said device comprising: a hull (20) that can be placed along the mast body (10); - upper fastening means (21); lower fixing means (22), characterized in that the cladding device is removably attached, and said shell (20) comprises at least one portion having a hollow revolution shape. Cladding device according to claim 1, the shell (20) comprising two portions (200, 201) complementary, said portions being embedded in the upper (21) and lower (22) fixing means, said portions defining the shape of the hull (20), said hull coming to surround the mast. Cladding device according to one of claims 1 or 2, said shell having a frustoconical shape. Device according to one of claims 2 or 3, each of said upper (21) and lower (22) fixing means comprising: a first part intended to form a stop against the body (10) of the mast; a second part connected to said first part, the shell portions (200, 201) fitting into said second portion. Device according to one of claims 2 to 4, at least one of said portions (200, 201) of the shell (20) being made of an at least partially translucent material. Device according to one of claims 2 to 5, said portions (200, 201) of the shell (20) having a thickness of between 1mm and 6mm. Device according to one of the preceding claims, said device further comprising lighting means (3) able to illuminate at least partially the shell (20). Device according to claim 7, said lighting means (3) comprising at least one ramp, having a plurality of light sources, and which can be arranged between the body (10) and the shell (20). Device according to claim 7, said lighting means (3) being placed at the location of at least one of the upper (21) and lower (22) fastening means. Mast comprising a body (10) and an end (12) adapted to be in contact with the ground, characterized in that the mast comprises a cladding device according to one of claims 1 to 9, said mast being at least partially covered by said dressing device. Mast according to claim 10, said mast (9) comprising a power source capable of supplying the lighting means (3).
