Abstract

1,192,535. Levels. MESSWERKZEUG K. G. GUSTAV ULLRICH. Feb.12, 1969 [Feb. 12, 1968], No.7722/69. Heading G1F. A level for setting pipe unions comprises an elongated body 1 having a bubble vial 3 with viewing apertures 4, the body having a screw-threaded part 2 at one end to enable it to be screwed into the union, manual force on the body 1 enabling the union to be set in a desired orientation e.g. horizontal. A circular bubble vial 5 may be set in the end of the body 1 remote from the part 2 to enable the plumb settings to be made, otherwise the body may be screw-threaded at both ends. A transverse hole 6 provided in the body 1 near the screw-threaded part 2 for receiving a rod to facilitate the setting of the level.
