Abstract

1,191,196. Air jet loom. VYZKUMNY A VYVOJOVY USTAV ZAVODU VSEOBECNEHO STROJIRENSTVI. 14 June, 1968, No. 28440/68. Heading DIE. On a guiding comb tooth having arcuate and linear portions 2, 3 defining a thread exit slot 4 the portion 7 of a frusto-oonical surface 6 opposite the slat has a different inclination to the plane of the tooth than the remainder of the surface. The portion 7 may be inclined at a steeper angle, may be perpendicular to the blade, or may be oppositely inclined to the remainder of the surface 6. The disturbance of the air jet caused by the portion 7 balances that caused by the slat, so that the weft travels in that part of the jet moving at maximum speed.
