Abstract

1,189,898. Automatic temperature control systems. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP. Oct.9, 1968 [Dec.11, 1967], No.47852/68. Heading G3R. An arrangement for curing insulation on a winding comprises a sensor having different resistance values at first and second temperatures arranged to be embedded in the winding, and a power source connectable to said winding through a relay arrangement coupled to the sensor. The winding with the sensor embedded therein is placed in a holder and a solventless liquid epoxy resin is applied to the winding. The relay arrangement is then energized which brings the winding up to and maintains it within the temperature range for a determined time when the supply is cut off manually and the sensor leads are removed. Details of a suitable epoxy resin and curing temperatures are given in the Specification. Lamps may be connected into the relay circuit to indicate operation thereof.
