1,189,016. Making burners. CRAIG & SEELEY Ltd. 22 Aug., 1967 [22 Aug., 1966; 21 Feb., 1967], No. 38554/67. Heading B3A. [Also in Division F4] In a method of making a radiant gas burner a body part 2 is pressed from sheet metal and a gas inlet pipe 7 and baffle 11 are welded thereto. A perforated radiant member 12 is formed from sheet mild steel by punching perforations to produce a raised periphery around each perforation on the outer face of the member 12 which member is then coated with vitreous enamel and is secured to the body part by crimping an extension 6 of the latter about the edges of the radiant member.
