Abstract

1,188,910. Sliding seats. RECARO A.G. 26 Sept., 1968 [4 Oct., 1967], No. 45697/68. Heading A4J. In a seat slide arrangement, in which rails 9, 12 and 10, 15 are non-adjustably secured to a seat frame 1 and to a vehicle floor 8, respectively, one pair 12, 15 are formed to provide mutual guidance, without vertical play, over a range of lateral positions, to allow greater manufacturing tolerance in the transverse spacing of the rails. The rails 12, 15 may have antifriction plastics liners 17. Conventional rails 9, 10, on the other side of the seat, or in the middle of a seat, having three pairs of rails (Fig. 2, not shown), provide guidance without transverse play and have a conventional locking means.
