Abstract

1,188,586. Moulding lens mounting rings. ISCO OPTISCHE WERKE G.m.b.H. 25 April, 1967 [14 May, 1966], No. 19011/67. Heading B5A. [Also in Division G2] Synthetic plastics rings for use as mountings for at least one lens of a photographic or projection lens unit are made in an injection mould with an annular cavity such that the outer peripheral surface of the ring is formed against the inner peripheral surface of the mould. The inner peripheral surface of the mould carries a raised or recessed inscription and the synthetic plastics material injected into the mould has a coefficient of expansion such that it contracts sufficiently on cooling for the moulded inscriptions to clear the mould and to permit removal of the moulded ring in an axial direction. The moulded ring is preferably frusto-conical.
