Abstract

1,188,272. Sawing. CONTINENTAL MACHINES Inc. 18 April, 1968 [28 Nov., 1967], No. 57851/68. Divided out of 1,188,271. Heading B5L. The subject matter of the present Specification is identical with that contained in Specification 1,188,271 but the claims are directed to a cutting head for a band saw machine comprising an upright column, upper and lower pulleys rotatable on parallel horizontal axes spaced a distance from the column, an endless saw band trained over the pulleys, arm means extending from the column for rotatably supporting the upper pulley, other arm means pivotally connected to the column and rotatably supporting the lower pulley, and means on the column for effecting movement of the other arm means to effect tensioning of the saw band.
