Abstract
1,185,864. Retractive switches. TATEISI ELECTRONICS CO. 29 Sept., 1967 [22 Oct., 1966], No. 44337/67. Heading H1N. A snap-action switch has an actuating member 3 pivoted at B on a terminal 2, and a resilient tension member 5 with an elongated opening (Fig. 3), one end of which pivotally engages member 3 at E and the other end of which pivotally engages a contact carrier 6 at K by engaging cuts (12, Fig. 3) therein. Carrier 6 has a compressible spring portion 14 and a contact 9, and it pivotally engages terminal 2 at G. On depression of.button 4, member 3 pivots at B, and member 6 snaps overcentre so that contact 9 breaks with contact 7 and makes with contact 8 (Fig. 2). On release of button 4, contact 9 is snapped back into engagement with contact 7.
