Abstract

1,185,799. Delay line pulse oscillator circuits. INSTYTUT BADAN JADROWYCH. 28 Nov., 1968 [1 Dec., 1967], No. 56408/68. Heading H3T. A square wave oscillator comprises a transistor having negative feedback between output and input via a delay line comprising a number of sections 25-28 selectively switchable at 6-9 into circuit so as to vary its length and thus the oscillation frequency. In the circuit shown, when the transistor switches from cut off to saturation the resulting pulse at its collector passes through the line to cut-off the transistor again, the resulting pulse restoring the saturation-state after the delay so that the circuit oscillates between the states. Trimming capacitors are provided and the lines are double screened to prevent harmonic operation. An external line may be connected into circuit by switch 10. A strobing pulse may be obtained from a shaping circuit 37, 38 and the amplitude is adjusted by potentiometer 31 which varies the collector supply, the meter 33 measuring the supply voltage and thus indicating the pulse amplitude.
