Abstract

1,184,987. Toilet roll holders. H. SIEBER. 6 May, 1968 [9 May, 1967], No. 21307/68. Heading A4G. A toilet roll holder, Fig. 1, comprises longitudinal rear and arcuate front walls 16, 16A, an end wall 14 connected to the longitudinal walls, and an end wall 8 hinged to the longitudinal front wall, a rod 5 supported on end wall 14 only and carrying rolls 10, wall 8 having an aperture 7 for the discharge of empty cones 15, and the roll in use being accessible through an aperture 2 in the longitudinal front wall. A new roll is slid along rod 5 to aperture 2 by a knob 18 connected to a slide 6 on the rod, the position of knob 18 together with marks on the holder indicating the number of rolls in the holder. A hinged flap 3 with radial stops (4, Fig. 2) brakes the roll. Wall 8, which is normally held closed by a lock 11, is opened to refill. Another holder, Fig. 5, of thermoplastics, comprises integral rear and end walls 16, 14 having ribs 22, 23 slideably received in grooves 24, 25 in removable integral inclined front and end walls 21, 8. To refill, walls 21, 8 are removed as far as a catch 26 as shown. A stop 32 limits pivoting of a spring-loaded flap 3. Rod 5 may extend vertically.
