Magnetos, driving.-A magneto is mounted on a support 4 secured in the cylinder head, its armature being oscillated by a piston-actuated rod 6 against the action of a spring 10. Lugs 9, 22 are carried by the armature shaft and rod 6 respectively. The degree to which the lug 22 engages the lug 9 may be altered by means of a screw 21, thereby varying the time of ignition.
