Abstract

1,184,205. Fencing. METAL CLADDING Inc. 30 March, 1967, No. 14601/67. Heading E1B. A rail fence construction for, e.g. racecourse, comprises tubular plastics posts 15 mounted on T-sectioned supports 12 with bushings 13, 14 and carrying tubular members 17 forming horizontally extending projections, the projections carrying tubular plastics rails 11 spigoted on to a projection at one end, and snapped into position at the other end. A notch 23 is provided at one end of each rail, with a maximum width less than the internal diameter of the rail, which in turn is equal to the external diameter of the projections 17, and a slot 22 at the other end, and the rail is reinforced by an internal tube 21 (Fig. 2, not shown). The members 17 are mounted on flat plastics brackets 16 bonded into the tops of the posts 15, each bracket 16 passing through slots in the opposed side walls of a respective tubular member 17, and being bonded thereto.
