Abstract

1,183,493. Glass blocks. G. GRABOW. 8 June, 1967 [13 June, 1966; 11 Oct., 1966], No. 26476/67. Heading E1B. Hollow glass building blocks 17 having portions 10 parallel to the general plane of a wall built therefrom and portions 18, 23 inclined to said plane, the portions being separated by diagonals 22, are built up to form a wall having pyramidal projection and recesses on opposite faces. The blocks have grooves in their minor surfaces in which reinforcement 27 and mortar are placed. In a modification both portions are inclined to a diagonal. Further modifications in the shape of the blocks include inclined portions on opposite sides of a vertical or horizontal plane or both.
