[Also in Division H1] A frequency changer comprises: a band pass filter 100 tuned to the output frequency f o ; a coupling circuit CD including a non-linear element, e.g. a varactor diode 116, also tuned to the output frequency; and an input circuit AC which in combination with the coupling circuit CD resonates at the input frequency # i . As described the filter 100 is a comb-line filter with the input coupling 101 tuned by a capacitance stub 119 and inductance 117. The input sections AD or CD may be #/2 resonant.
