Abstract

1,180,710. Tobacco composition. PETER PAUL Inc. 1 Oct., 1968, No. 46562/68. Heading A2C. A smoking composition comprises a mixture of tobacco and cocoa shells which latter have been separated from cocoa beans subsequent to roasting. The cocoa shells may be ground and incorporated into a reconstituted tobacco "dough" or slurry, preferably after pressure cooking of the tobacco ingredients, and then cast into a sheet which, after drying and shredding, is mixed with cigarette tobacco. Hydrogen peroxide may be added to the reconstituted tobacco plus cocoa shell mix prior to casting and drying.
