Abstract

1,180,248. Vibratory road rollers. STAVOSTROJ NARODNI PODNIK. 21 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966], No. 58261/67. Heading B7H. A self-propelled vibratory road roller comprises rollers 4, 4<SP>1</SP> which are each mounted on a respective support tube 6, 6<SP>1</SP> which is mounted, preferably resiliently, at one end only at 7, 71 in a casing 9, 91 which is pivoted through a pivot pin 10, and bearings 11, on the frame 1 of the roller. The roller further includes a power unit 2, a steering wheel 20 which controls an hydraulic ram 15 or electric, worm-wheel or screwed rod steering means by which the casings 9, 9<SP>1</SP> are rotated in opposite senses relative to the frame to steer the roller, and brake and power unit controls 21, 19. The vibrators 17 may be mounted within or externally of the support tubes 6, 6<SP>1</SP>.
