1,177,661. Vehicle mirrors. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 28 June, 1967, No. 29805/67. Heading B7J. An external rear view driving mirror comprises a universally mounted mirror head 3 having a part-spherical portion 13 frictionally engaging a spring-urged washer 29 supported on a pin 19 readily detachably secured in a support stem 1, and frictionally engaging an adjusting nut 31 screwed on to the stem 1, the nut 31 being accessible when the mirror is fitted to a vehicle. The pin 19 is detachably secured in the stem 1 by a lock-pin 37 passing through the pin 19 and screwed into the stem, and is angularly located in the stem 1 by its non-cylindrical bore 7 (Fig. 3).
