Abstract

1,175,770. Rubber blends. NATIONAL DISTILLERS & CHEMICAL CORP. 14 Oct., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967], No. 48657/68. Heading C3P. A composition comprises (a) an alfin-catalysed rubbery polymer having a molecular weight of less than 2 million, and (b) a polybutadiene having at least 85% cis-1,4-configuration, the weight of (b) being at least 5% of the total weight of (a) and (b). Suitable alfincatalysed rubbers are copolymers of butadiene and styrene and of butadiene and isoprene. The compositions may also contain oil, black and other compounding ingredients and are suitable for tire treads.
