Abstract

1,174,622. Tractor implement linkages. DAVID BROWN TRACTORS Ltd. 26 Jan., 1968 [27 Jan., 1967], No. 4132/67. Heading A1P. A stabilizer bar for the lower links of agricultural tractors comprises a shaft 10 slidable inside a tube 11 such that the bar is variable in length to permit lateral movement of the implement. A screw 15 projecting radially from one end of the shaft 10 is slidable in a slot 12 cut axially in the tube 11. A single spring, or as shown, two identical springs 17, 33 disposed end to end provide resilient means which resist the whole, or a later portion, of the reduction in length of the bar. The bar is provided at each end with a ball and socket and its initial length is adjustable with a screw 22.
