Abstract

1,173,545. Egg, &c. boxes. KEYES FIBRE CO. 8 March, 1968 [8 March, 1967], No. 11389/68. Heading B8P. An egg, &c. box moulded from resilient fibrous material has a hinged lid 14 with a hole through its front wall 30 to receive an upwardly tapered latching post 26 integral with its body 12, the post having a forwardly directed notch 34 which snaps over the edge 38 of the hole to hold the lid closed. The latching post 26 is octagonal in cross-section. In a modification, Figs. 4-6 (not shown), two such latching posts (128) are provided along the front elongated edge of an egg, &c. box. The flat top of the lid may carry printed advertizing matter, labels &c.
