117,322. Foster, H. F. July 31, 1917. Chucks.-The body has two or more eccentric circular beds on which jaws are moved circumferentially. Fig. 1 shows a chuck with two jaws d, e which are moved to open and close the chuck by rotating the eccentric conical plug f Fig. 5 shows a chuck with three jaws operated by a loose ring t and levers. Modifications are shown and described in which the jaws are operated in one direction by springs and in the other by a lever, and in both directions by a nut on a tangential screw. The jaws may be serrated to increase their grip on the work.
