Non-magnetic carrier particles for xerographic cascade development comprise at or immediately adjacent their surface 0À0001-2% by wt. of at least one solid, stable hydrophobic metal salt of a fatty acid. The salt may be mixed with or coated (e.g. in a film former) on, preformed carrier particles, or dispersed throughout the carrier particles. The carriers may be those described in parent Specification 1,172,839.
