Abstract

1480087 Electrostatographic developing XEROX CORP. 12 Nov 1974 [19 Nov 1973] 48871/74 Heading G2H A magnetic brush developing device for reducing developer flow at the ends of the brush comprises flow baffle means 20 in the form of stationary magnetic brushes 21 produced by magnets 22, 23 which may be wedge shaped, as shown, or rectangular. The brushes 21 regulate the flow of developer at the ends of magnetic brush roll 42, which is formed by a rotatable sleeve 44 housing stationary magnets 45, 46. A lifting roll is provided to attract unused particles from roll 42 and return them to sump 40.
