[Also in Division F4] The subject-matter of this specification is substantially the same as that of Specifications 1,172,522 and 1,172,523 relating to apparatus for drying and cleaning granular material such as grain, but the claims are mainly concerned with rakes 80 having fingers 78, Figs. 1 and 4, located in the zigzag paths taken by the material in its downward flow through the drying tower 2. The rakes 80 may be located in successive inclined portions of at least some of the zig-zag paths, and the fingers 78 of successive rakes may be staggered.
