1,171,674. Electric resistance alloys. JOHNSON, MATTHEY & CO. Ltd. May 10, 1968 [May 11, 1967], No.21853/67. Heading C7A. A resistance alloy (e. g. for making the wire of a slide wire potentiometer) comprises:- Pd 74- 98À5% V 1 - 15% one or(Au) more Mo 0À5 - 11% in total of A1 apart from impurities. The alloy may be homogenized by heating to 1200‹C. in 2-3 hours, maintaining at 1200‹C. for 4 hours and then cooled to room temperature in 2-3 hours.
